Glad to see Munich beating Zenit, as much as underdog stories are nice I have nothing but hatred for Russian teams and their corrupt, scumbag owners. Everyone knows Luca Toni needs a reunion with La Viola in the finals.

Fiorentina seems to be playing pretty conservative despite a very attacking lineup (Jorgensen as LB, Gobbi as "defensive' midfielder)

Hopefully, I'm actually pretty nervous because Fiorentina is pretty vulnerable to counters, the midfield foursome of Liverani, Gobbi, Kuzmanovic, and Montolivo need to be at their best.

EDIT: I just realized Fiorentina is playing with an even more offensive lineup than I expected, it's looking like a 3-4-3 with Liverani as the 4th midfielder.

You can't deny the cynical brilliance of Rangers, on paper their squad is much worse than Celtic but they are still in the running for winning 4 trophies this season, at least until la Viola crush them in Florence.

Santana is by far Fiorentina's most technically gifted player, I hope they hold on to him. He's insanely inconsistent, if he ever finds a way to change that he will be a beast.


Oh FFS, future Barca player (God forbid) Lucio scored an own goal...
And the huns took out their only two attackers. It's almost funny how horrible they are...

hell yea as zenit grabbed the away goal as lucio gives them an own goal. whit a solid showing in russia municxh will be dumped. Look for a viola zenit final. as the firs leg for the viola ended 0-0 as the viola return home.

The UEFA Cup is always half decent once it gets to the quarter-final stage and the competition starts to look like a real competition and not just a free-for-all with matches being played in the most bizarre places in Europe.

The UEFA Cup starts off as a complete joke but the last 3 rounds are class. If you don't pay attention you are missing some great football.

I don't know why Bayern started Podolski, possibly the most overrated player on the planet, ahead of Tonigol.
