I disagree entirely, we had to bring in far more players than you to win a title, plus change the whole structure of the club.

u had a leadership in Lucho & Cocu.. u slowly started to build.. Real had to bring in so many starters

You mention old stars...Lucho and Cocu were great role models but their bodies were breaking down by the time Laporta arrived. The talent just wasn't there.

that makes all the difference Nolan (role models & leadership ),do u remember Raul-Ronaldo big fight in the newpapers a month before Perez resigned ?
Real & Barca ALWAYS have the talent... not just the first team but in the youth squads.. its a matter of giving them a chance.. u had an excellent generation coming up with Xavi-Puyol-Valdes..etc Real didn't have that .. all old squad players plusCaillas- Ramos-Robinho & Baptista

disappointed i couldnt find oleguer in amsterdam to watch the game with. in fairness unless he was getting obscenely stoned then chances were we werent gonna bump into each other
