Anyway, typical Madridista', trophy counting as usual to try and justify the current mediocrity surrounding your current club.

All the pats on the back coming from the capital papers, despite coming to the Nou Camp and getting beat 2-0 makes me sick. Playing defensive, kicking Messi all over the park. This is how Getafe (a small club) played us and at least they managed to draw.

funny you mention that.. i didn't know Johan Cruyff is in Madrid.. cause he praised Real performance & critisized messi game ...

funny also that most (if not all ) football Pundits actually praised Real as well.. so its not AS & Marca...

good to see u back mate :D

@ Raed the bet was if Barca didn't win ease and score lots of goals i'll change my sig to Henry & Messi for a month , and if it was a hard fought game..etc Jordan will change his sig to Raul pic with " I love Raul " :P a bet is a bet & i lost...

Cryuff is an old fart. He said what he said because he is afraid of anyone especially individual players overshadowing the club. Especially when he considers himself the be all and end all of Barca. He was always overly critical of Ronaldinho and he will be the same for Messi.

Most of the pundits, AS, Marca and the like have been praising Madrid because they have no sense of the reality of the situation. Schuster said "it is impossible for Madrid to win at the Nou Camp". He was right and had he been coach on Saturday, with Madrid turning out a scrappy performence like that more worthy of a division 2 cup game side, than the headlines would have much more negative.

ps. Great to see you Beast.

All Cruyff said in his weekly article was in response to the mainstream pro-Barça media which was complaining about the brutal treatment Messi got. His comment was that the fouls he received were, in part, his responsibility for playing the way he does, and in this particular game farther back in the field than he is used to because of the ultra-Catenaccio tactics. Criticize? Um... what's next, "Messi is left footed", "Ah Cruyff is criticizing Messi for being left footed! WTF!"? Cruyff also commented that he could not blame Madrid for their defensive tactics because otherwise they would have conceded 6, as was anticipated. What's next, Cruyff says "Given the hand labour that was required in the new colonies, historically slavery was understandable", and it is interpreted as "Cruyff supports modern day slavery!"? See for yourself what Cruyff actually wrote: http://www.elperiodi...-muy-lejos.aspx
I normally am against FCB-Moan's totalitarian methods, but Mo, you should vanish anyone who questions or distorts The Cruyff's words. Sorry JAMAIN, nothing personal but I'm a devout Cruyffist.

They cheapened their club by going out with such a stench of fear around them. Madrid fans congratulating their team as they arrived home? I can't overstate how delighted I am to hear that, it shows how scared we have them and how little their ambitions extend. Maybe they'll have a Villarreal style open top bus tour at the end of the season if they finish 2nd, after all for a club happy to lose 2-0 at Camp Nou 2nd in the league would be a huge achievement.

The Madrid fans who went to the airport because the team did not lose 5-0 are not real Real Madrid fans, they are idiots.
The real Madrid fans who know anything about the club are in hidding and in shame. They are simmering and hurting. That is the correct and dignified response. What Madrid fan cheers a 2-0 loss to Barcelona and goes to the freakin' airport to congratulate the side. Its not like Madrid are in the title race either. They are currently out of European placing. WTF? Its like half the city is in some insane stance of denial. Madridista's who got a sinking feeling after the game are those who realised they are on the Titanic and not the Juande Ramos love boat of misplaced optimism.

Are we in denial though?

The white handkerchiefs that were waved at Schuster against Seville were pretty evident, a message clear enough and a sign of dissatisfaction. Everyone is hurt deep down, but as Real Madrid fans, whether you accept it or not is up to you, but the support that was given was nothing more than a support for the players. The same players who went out on the field against Barcelona in a dire situation and played unlike a certain team whose number one striker got him self suspended in shame.

No one likes to lose and especially to their arch rivals. No, we were not supporting that s*it football we played, no we are not happy, we realize how far off we are, we are not idiots.

well Jamain you feel like this because you are a Barca supporter... that's your thing.. Madrid fans are mostly happy with the team... that's what matters.. we had very good reviews from all football pundits including your self proclaimed god Johan Cruyff.. whether yoru like or not its not the subject for discussion .. its the majority of opinions and that's what matters ..

You had decent reviews, I wouldn't say they were breathtaking. Most commended your workrate but in the same breath condemned your lack of ambition (I'm talking about non-madrid press here). It is still bizarre to hear that your fans welcomed the team home and it shows how the mighty have fallen. What margin of loss would be considered a success against València on Saturday? If you only lose 1-0 will the fans go to Cibeles?

not the mighty have fallen or any of the drama... Real Madrid fans always cared for those who fight for the shirt/ the team.. that was the case first & then comes winning (hence the come back kings title through out our history )
that's what they saw on Saturday and the reaction is expected they are not cheering the joga bonita they are cheering the players who fought for the shirt...its very simple really

I could have sworn it was the draw they were fighting for, but I guess "the shirt" can be a metaphor for that.

You still haven't answered my last two questions. What margin of loss would be considered a success against València on Saturday? If you only lose 1-0 will the fans go to Cibeles? Considering that losing FOUR games on the trot wouldn't be the best move do you think the fans would be proud if they scraped a draw? I'm curious about how this new real madrid operates. If you finish 6th as you currently are but the players "fight for the shirt" would you consider this a good season?
