huge fan of the game as I live in toronto(yea dont laugh, they are a s*it team but are starting to make to change hopefully)
Big fan of calgary and Philadelphia.
the thing about hockey is the regular season is meh, but the playoffs just take it to another level of intensity, great memories of watching playoff games going into 3,4,5 overtimes and watching at 3 am in the morning sitting on your edge of the seat.  played a little but had no cash to make it up the steps, great game though

how are you a fan of the game Los_Merengues as hockey is a marginal sport in the US??

You ain't gonna believe what happened to me today.

I was talking to that uni girl i like (on the phone) and a bee got in my jeans.

So here i am talking to this woman i want to impress and i suddenly hear all this buzzing coming from my mid region...and i start to scream like a girl (f**k!) and then she asked "what's going on?!" and i was like trying to find an excuse and i just said "...i accidentally stepped on a snail.."

WHY THE f**k DID I SAY THAT!?! Fucks sake man! She probably thought i'm some real pussy or something (don't say anything Anton)

How do you know it's spring? The leafs are out. :hammer:

I watch it, but I could never get into hockey as much as I'd like to. Since I'm from Long Island I like the Islanders (no comment), though I mostly support the Habs nowadays, since I usually only watch the playoffs.

The sport disgusts me. The officials stand by as two grown men are allowed to do somthing they'd get arrested for and perhaps given prison time, if it was done out on the street.

That and you can't see the fucking puck.

you can see the puck ... even I, who despises the coverage that hockey gets in this damned city (Toronto) at the expense of basketball and football, can follow the puck. I also think that there is nothing more intense than playoff hockey. The sheer sacrifice and tension is incredible. I sometimes wish football players were more like hockey players in terms of toughness. It takes a warrior to get through the Stanley Cup run.

You think it's bad in Toronto? Here it's all they care about it. The passion can be awesome, but it's also frustrating to see no interest in anything else, not to mention the inability to watch anything else when the Habs play.

yea it must be worse in Montreal. At least here the TO sports media has to devote time to the Jays/Raps and US Football. I'd probably go crazy in Montreal.

Hockey is big in the U.S but of course not as big as the NBA or football. But I don't think there is a better game to watch live then hockey. I'm a season ticket holder for the Ducks as well. Oh and I wasn't very happy when our GM Brian Burke went to your Leafs :thumbsdownsmileyanim:

ducks are an amazing team and if they get their s*it together should be a fav to win the cup. with pronger and niedermayer on your back end you should dominate ever game from the back end. burke is good but not as good as people make him out to be but he was perfect for you guys cause he pulled the big deals which is what is is really good at. I just want more canadians on the toronto team, too many euros that makes us way too soft and bullied areound the ice.

Fair call but the Euro's bring some amazing skill to the game as well. I loved watching a game at the Air Canada Center, wonderful facilities.

Yeah I'm hoping for another Stanley because this whole place went nuts when we won the cup a couple of years ago. I am concerned with Giguere going back to Montreal for personal reasons but Getzlaf is having a great season so far.

:banghead: That's why I wish the franchise didn't part ways with him.

well getzlaf with another big night last night with 3 points, if he continues like this he should be on the team canada team next year at the olympics centering nash and heatly as they had solid chemistry in the world championships

I'm big fan of Pittsburgh Penguins!
Mario Lemieux, Coffey and Jaromir Jagr (i'm big fan of Czech national hickey team as well) were my total heroes in the early 90's when I was a schoolboy and NHL highlights were available on bulgarian TV. Then the czech trio Straka-Nedved-Lang, Kovalyov and Morozov and so many great players throughout the 90's. Shame that they won only 2 Stanley's, I hate Detroit Red Pigs too. To be honest I don't follow the entire season, my workmate Valyo is a former Bulgarian hockey international and usually I discuss with him the latest results, not very often of course.

* I also liked Eric Lindros from Flyers

yo lindros would have been one of the all time greats if he did not get concussed

yo the penguins are one of the favs again to win the cup as they have 2 of the best 5 forward in the NHL in crosby and malkin, feels good to meet a penguins fan who is a real fan from the 90s instead of all these crosby suckers.
