1. Tell No One (it was released in France in 2006, but the USA didn't get to see in the cinema till now so for me its 2008): brilliant movie, the soundtrack is phenomenal

2. Burn After Reading: Coen brothers do it again

3. Slumdog Millionaire: no explanation needed

4. Quantum of Solace

No Country For Old Men is the best film I've seen this year. by far.

but discounting that because it is a 2007 film...

1. the dark knight

2. wall-e

3. cadillac records

4. be kind rewind

5. iron man

6. burn after reading

7. in bruges

8. kung fu panda

9. tropic thunder

10. street kings (not really but it was fucking hilarious)

a note that I've yet to see The Wrestler, Milk, Gran Torino, Vicky Cristina Barcelona and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, all of which would likely be on the list, because of the shitty UK release dates. I haven't seen Body of Lies either, but that's due to circumstance.

I also absolutely hate Jim Carey! I hate slapstick garbage.

Bad season for movie watching, but I point out Quantum of Solice and I agree that it is the most interesting Bond I've ever watched. I also enjoyed Batman for the same reason. Both heroes were darker than before. I'm looking forward for Grand Torino, cause of Eastwood and then for Rocknrolla.
