busquets and pique are awesome. glad to see them in the side. hopefully they can become regulars in the squad and maybe even the team (well for pique I'd expect it since marchena and albiol are accidents waiting to happen - cuellar and juanito are quite good tho).

now if only bojan could get regular callups (though for that I guess he'd need regular games, lol).

Yeah, very good news. I think they're more than capable to deal with England aswell. However i'd like to see and England victory as normal.

Argentina - France should be good. A win for Argentina for sure. And Brazil to beat Italy.

for me, it's impossible to call brazil/italy.

england won't win. too many crucial players will be missing for them. plus spain are just better anyway.

argentina should beat france you're right.

The Brazil, Italy game is hard to call, but I just have a feeling Brazil will be more up for the ocassion.

Yeah, I don't think England will beat Spain either. 1-0, maybe 2-1 in Spain's favour but it's most likely to be a 0-0 draw.

Agrentina will beat France 2-1 or 3-1.

Is the England game at Wembley? because the Brazil - Italy game is being played there. No idea of the dates, gonna look them up now.

no it's in spain.

don't you remember the big hoopla about where to stage it?

england didn't want to go back to madrid after the monkey-chant fiasco so they're holding it at the ramon sanchez pizjuan.

the brasil game would be at the emirates, but arsenal fans have fucked themselves there. I doubt brasil will play there again after anderson got pilloried by gooners in the crowd (portugal ditto re: ronaldo). was fucking random and funny at the time but I'm guessing the CBF didn't find it amusing.

Yeah, forgot all about that. There will probably be more racism in Seville lol.

And Spain should win that.

I dunno about racism.

the fans in the ramon sanchez always struck as insanely passionate and vocal, but never racist.

Meta I've seen Brazil play but Italians are the team that play the most boring defensive football ever.

Looking forward to seeeing Spain spank England!

I dislike Domenech immensely so i hope Maradona's Argentina give them a good whooping, though part of me knows that with Maradona at the helm it's likely going to be a disaster for the AFA.
"Pele had nearly everything. Maradona has everything. He works harder, does more and is more skilful. Trouble is he'll be remembered for another reason. He bends the rules to suit himself."

Sir Alf Ramsey

"Lionel moves me every time he plays, even when his move does not result in a goal, he gives just as much joy, doing things that a very select few can."

Alfio Basile

(On Messi) "He has extraordinary magic, and has been displaying that ever since he started playing with the youth teams. He embodies the essence of football"

He'd already missed the Mallorca game with a muscle injury and required treatment after the match yesterday so it stands to reason he's not fit for the Spain game. I doubt he'll play at Betis either, Pep will want to rest him until the Espanyol game IMO
