What you need to know about Keirrison:

There's plenty of videos on youtube of him. Based on those I have seen, along with other reports and seeing him briefly in the Liberatadores it's clear he's not a flashy player. His record is very impressive, but whatever Brazilian star you want to compare him to, you are probably expecting too much. At best we have signed the next Trezegol or Crespo. I'm not sure how he will adjust to Europe to be honest, his record for Palmeiras has been impressive as his previous history, and in the Liberatadoes averaged a goal every other game, so I definitely think he has potential to make it at the highest level.

That being said, he has one major weakness. He's not David Villa. I doubt we bought him only to immediately sell him, but I sure as hell would not object to seeing him have a nice long loan spell at Valencia.

You ain't gonna believe what happened to me today.

I was talking to that uni girl i like (on the phone) and a bee got in my jeans.

So here i am talking to this woman i want to impress and i suddenly hear all this buzzing coming from my mid region...and i start to scream like a girl (f**k!) and then she asked "what's going on?!" and i was like trying to find an excuse and i just said "...i accidentally stepped on a snail.."

WHY THE f**k DID I SAY THAT!?! Fucks sake man! She probably thought i'm some real pussy or something (don't say anything Anton)

To break it down...

Kerrison to Valencia on loan in the Cash + Villa deal. If he stinks it up than we try and salvage what we can.
If he turns out to be a hit than we can bring him back or sell him on for profit.

IF Sam Eto'o does not play ball and stays his last year WITHOUT signing an extension than Guardiola can lead Kerrison at his own pace behind the assured 20+ goals Eto is guranteed to give us. If Kerrison turns out to be a hit than GREAT we don't have to rely so much on Eto'o. We can shelve Sam and say our goodbyes at the end of the season. In anycase either Kerrison or Bojan needs to show they score goals because Eto'o will play for Cameroon mid season in the African Cup.

Whatever the case we need Kerrison to be a player. Not another Maxi Lopez type of disaster.

Our recent record of importing players from South America has been pretty poor. Maxi, Saviola, Bonano, Rochemback, Geovanni.....

Keirrison reminds me of Sexy actually. Much better record but similar lack of skill that will translate questionably in Europe.

A certain South American import named Leo has worked out nicely though...

He doesn't count seeing as he came up through La Masia. I was talking strictly about players who had been bought as the "finished product" so to speak.

I saw the rumours on Sky a couple of days ago and thought he'd be instead of Villa. This idea of sending him to Valencia sounds awesome. They get possibly a very good striker, we get Villa and get to keep Bojan at the club rather than loaning him. Keirrison gets minutes and time to adjust to Spain, and in theory comes back a top class striker at the end of next season. On paper it's a cracking idea.

Am i the only person hoping this deal falls through? He has flop written all over him, even Palmeiras' fans don't rate him that highly.

I hope it falls through as well. I don't understand what is seen in him that suggests his going to succeed with us...
Good point about South American's failing at Barca when they come in straight from those leagues.

If the deal means we are more likely to have Villa in a Barca shirt this season then I'm all for it. The lad wouldn't have the pressure of Barca and the Camp Nou straight away which would allow him to adapt. He's clearly a out and out goalscorer, so adapting will be even more important for him. I still think it could be a good deal, depending on how much we have to spend on him though.

I only want this deal to work through for Villa, I'm even fine giving them a cheap buy option because he's not a guaranteed hit in any way.

I think its unfair to compare him with any Brazil superstar just yet porque he is young and has not been really tseted at the highest level but has shown that when its time to deliver he has the goods.
What we should understand is that he is quality, if he wasn't he would not be signing for us.

Signed a 5 year deal. Cost 14M.

This one could go either way. Now that the squad is Brazilian heavy, hopefully they don't form a clique like they did the last time...
