“Since I was a boy I’ve carried Barça in my heart”
FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona’s new signing, Brazilian striker Keirrison de Souza, arrived in Barcelona on Thursday evening and immediately spoke about his love for the Club: “Since I was a boy I’ve carried Barça in my heart”. Despite being born thousands of kilometres away from Barcelona, Keirrison assured Barça TV and www.fcbarcelona.cat that he has always felt a special affection for FC Barcelona: “I’ve always followed Barça and the great Brazilian footballers who have played here. Since I was a boy I’ve carried Barça in my heart and at the age of 20 I have the pleasure of playing at this great club”.
A dream come true
Though it may sound like a cliché, the Brazilian striker sees his move to Barça as a dream come true as he has been following events at the Club since he was a boy: “I’m very happy to be here and fulfil my dream of signing for the best club in the world. Over the next five years I hope to play some great football and give my all for Barça”.
Plenty of time ahead
Keirrison joins Barça at just 20 years old and is eager to win a place in Guardiola’s team despite his youth: “I’m lucky enough to join Barça at a very young age. I have time to show what I can do and help Barça win titles. I hope to earn a place in the team just like the other Brazilian forwards that played for Barça”.

all semantics aside, I hope he turns out well and I wish him luck.

He's very young. The South Americans do make the jump a little too early these days tbh. Hopefully he'll be a success. The price is fairly reasonable as long as he turns out pretty decent. A year adapting to life and football in Spain will do him good. Seen as he's supposedly just a finisher, he should be able to hit the ground running hopefully.

Keirrison got a lot to live up to then. Lucky for him his first season won't be for Barca.
