With France and Portugal both in pot 4 it set a new danger in the mindsof the so called 'big teams' in the higher pots, adding to the danger was a pot 3, who held very good teams such as Chile, Uraguay and Ghana. There were no suprises in pot 1 although many argued and dissaproved of Argentina being along side teams who breezed through qualification, for example Spain who had a 100% record in qualifications. Whereas Argentina needed lady luck to see them achieve automatic qualification.

The draw was made and the results are as followed:

Group A
South Africa
Mexico
Uruguay
France

Group B
Argentina
Nigeria
Korea Republic
Greece

Group C
England
USA
Algeria
Slovenia

Group D
Germany
Australia
Serbia
Ghana

Group E
Netherlands
Denmark
Japan
Cameroon

Group F
Italy
Paraguay
New Zealand
Slovakia

Group G
Brazil
North Korea
Ivory Coast
Portugal

Group H
Spain
Switzerland
Honduras
Chile

The Group Of Death
Group G, which contains three strong teams, Brazil, Ivory Coast and Portugal, looks to be dubbed the inevitable Group of Death. North Korea has an almost impossible chance of qualifying from this group. it's also inevitable that at least one strong team will also be knocked out.

The Group Of Life
Of all the World Cup Groups, F looks to be the weakest. Italy occupt this group and will be the underniable favourties to progress from this group into the second round of the tournament. Paraguay, who looked very impressive in the South American qualifiers will also be confident of progressing.

Argentina is my pick.

Watch this space.
