he died very early, drinking problem, but apparently he was the best dribbler of the ball ever...
O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells!
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribboned wreaths—for you our home's a-crowdin;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces shoutin—For
you to lead your team ahead, for you they work and strive;
Oh Captain My Captain, they call you Puyol5

Uh-huh! That's what I believe anyway. I watched a documentary on him and Pele and their contrasting fortunes once. Seriously, I've never seen a player dribble so well as him. No-one comes close, IMO. He just used to toy with defenders because he was so good. I think he's gotta be the most exciting footballer you could watch, ever. The Brazilians didn't nickname him "Joy Of The People" for nothing. He had a very sad, unfortunate end to his life though. He's like a tragic hero, lol.
EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to point out, their winning streak is actually not a rumour. Its true. I actually think that Garrincha may have only lost one game for Brazil. Against Hungary in 1966. His last game for Brazil, I believe.
