1 league title and one runners up spot is a terrible record for a decade in charge of Milan and Juve.

It's a bit hard when the average age of your team is like 50.

doesn't matter, he's displayed astoundingly bad management and showed far too much loyalty to his mates.
he's a fatter more matt-parkman-y version of rafa.
got the big cup sussed, but can't really handle a league campaign.
colour me unimpressed.
even his big cup record needs context: consider the ridiculous luck he had in 2003 (beating inter on away goals!?! pavel the barbarian missing the final!) and the fact that his team was a massively expensive squad of 'galacticos' that bloody well should have achieved such success. I mean, rui costa, shevchenko, inzaghi, nesta were all MAJOR signings. rino and kaka were bargains but yeah. and then the absolutely abysmal collapses from seemingly insurmountable positions in 2004 and 2005. credit to depor and liverpool for not giving up but they should have never gotten a chance to get back into it.
mind you if florentino wants the CL over everything, and is gonna give the coach 300m, then carletto is the man for the job.

Pellegrini is being linked with Madrid and Chelsea apparently. I'd take him for sure, I just never thought of him because I didn't think he'd be available. After 5 years at Villarreal, constantly proving himself to be a very good manager, I think it'd be a good time for him to move to a club where he can realistically win the CL and league title with.

Would be interesting to see Pelligrini at a big club. Having to handle massive egos and big name signings would be a new challenge for him as his signings have always been very subtle for Villareal. He's a top manager though so he deserves a chance. A lot of Chelsea fans have probably never heard of him though lol.

Yeah, on a Chelsea site some people said they have never heard of him.
But some know a lot about him and how well he's done with Villarreal. I'd like to take a gamble on him to be honest, he likes to play some good football and really needs to step up to the next level, where I think he can succeed. I don't see him being able to take Villarreal too much further than he already has, like Ramos with Sevilla before he left.
