Barça's players have been quick to praise Giovani Dos Santos after his impressive performances for the club so far in the pre-season.

The 18 year old Mexican under-20 international has worked his way up from the youth ranks at the club since joining Barcelona from Mexican team Club Monterrey after being spotted by a scout in a under-12 competition in France.

Thiago Motta on Giovani
Thiago Motta, who is set to be leaving the club this summer, told a press conference: "he is a young player who is showing what great potential he has.

"He is working hard and has a real future ahead of him. He can become one of the best players at this club."

Touré Yaya
New boy Yaya Touré was impressed by Giovani as well as the other young attacker promoted to the first team, Bojan Krkic.

"If they are in the Barça first team squad then it means that they are great players and I think that they will grow and grow and have great futures ahead of them."

Lilian Thuram
"Dos Santos is a very good young player," said Thuram after being asked by a Mexican journalist what he thought of Giovani. "I expect him to become a great player. He has a lot to learn and has a positive attitude and that is the best thing."
