Welcome to the brand new FCBarcelonaweb.co.uk! After over 2 years being offline, the site is finally back in it's new form.

You may think "well, this new site looks kind of similar to the one which was here when the site initially re-opened". That is true in a sense, however, this new site is more or less a completely new site and unlike the previous one, it's fully complete and fully functioning.

What's new on the site? Well obviously a brand new, fresh, layout. As well as that, the pages on the site have been bought up-to-date - such as the squad list and the honours page. Others, such as the Copa del Rey page have been completely reworked so that each round is shown separately unlike before.

Is that all? No, not at all. This site has been 2 years in the work so there's definitely more! The old La Liga predictions league has been replaced with a Barça prediction league. What's the difference? Whereas before you had to predict every single fixture in La Liga for a season, you now only have to predict every Barça result from Liga BBVA, UEFA Champions League and Copa del Rey.

As well as that, there is a new search system which will allow you to search through our news archive as well as our collection of videos. We have also implemented a brand new tagging system which will allow you to easily and quickly find related articles and videos on the site.

Videos? What videos? Ah yes, the biggest new feature of the new FCBarcelonaweb.co.uk is our new video portal. This new section of the site will allow you to share your favourite Barça videos from YouTube.com with everybody else on the site.

We already have quite a large collection of videos on the site already thanks to contributions from several of our forum members so we plan to open this new part of the site in style from the off!

Finally, the last thing on my list of things to do for the site is a new forum theme to match the design of the new site. I am not going to put a date on when this will be done as a) I haven't started work on it and b) I have university commitments which come first.
