Real Sociedad - Barcelona

Another week, another must win game. Should results be favourable this weekend, Barcelona can finally find themselves with some breathing space at the top of the Primera División.

Whilst the other two title challengers plan to dent each others title challenges at the Santiago Bernabeú this weekend, Barcelona plan to actually win an away game after seemingly an eternity without a victory away from the Camp Nou against seemingly relegation bound Real Sociedad.

The players who won't be helping that cause will be Juliano Belletti, who has been left out of the squad despite being declared fit, Deco, who is out for two weeks after colliding with Ludovic Giuly in training this week and damaging knee ligaments, Rafael Márquez, who is also out for two weeks with a leg injury whilst comedy defensive midfield duo Thiago Motta and José Edmílson are back in the squad after . Comedy striker Santiago Ezquerro is again dropped or as the club prefer to put it, "rested" once again.

Real Sociedad head into this game on the back of a 1-0 loss away to Getafe last weekend, however, in their last game at their Anoeta ground, they did shock Atlético Madrid 2-0 which means Barça are not in for an easy game in San Sebastian.

Previous encounters
Earlier this season, Barça could only sneak a 1-0 win against "La Real" at the Camp Nou thanks to a 11th minute Ronaldinho goal. Last season, Barça smashed them 5-0 at the Camp Nou before going on to secure a 2-0 victory at the Anoeta.
