Transfer NewsBarca Agree Terms With Milito
The move has been expected ever since the Chivu deal fell through over wage demands, with Barcelona moving quickly for the Argentine, and the player himself sending out all the right signals. A final decision was set to be made only after the Copa America, but Barcelona are eager to seal the deal as quickly as possible. The club have spoken about the player's wage demands well before making an approach, during informal negotiations with the Milito's agent. Spanish dailies Marca and Sport are both claiming that Barcelona have agreed a four year deal with the Argentine international, worth four million euros a season. An agreement with Real Zaragoza is also said to be imminent, with a figure in the region of 18-20 million euros set to be paid. The La Romareda bosses are asking for no less than 20m, while Barcelona are trying to barter Thiago Motta and Santi Ezquerro into the deal, to reduce the cash outlay. |
