Barça beat German champions VfB Stuttgart 3-1 in the final match of their Champions League group as they kept up their 100% home record in tact in this season's competition.

Stuttgart took a shock 3rd minute lead when Antonio da Silva placed his freekick past stand in goalie Albert Jorquera and into the top corner.

Barça then equalised on 35 minutes after Ronaldinho capitalised on Arthur Boka's slip to cross for Giovani who turn in his first ever Champions League goal for Barça. Stuttgart keeper Schafer claimed that the young Mexican had used his arm to score, however, replays were not conclusive and the goal stood.

Barça then took the lead on the 57th minute after Xavi dispossessed Stuttgart captain Fernando Meira and then raced up the field before giving the ball to Samuel Eto'o who made no mistake in putting the ball into the back of the net. Surprisingly, that was Eto'o's first goal for Barça in a competitive match since the end of last season against Gimnástic.

That wasn't the end for Stuttgart as on 67 minutes, Sylvinho put in a cross for Ronaldinho and the Brazilian slid in to put Barça 3-1 up and put the result beyond doubt.

Barça finish the group as winners with 14 points. Olympique Lyon join Barça into the next round of the competition after their 0-3 demolition of Rangers at Ibrox this evening.
