FC Barcelona have announced that they have signed Sevilla's Malian midfielder Seydou Keita.

Keita will officially become Barça's first signing when the summer transfer window opens in 4 days time. He has signed with the club for 4 years and has a release clause of €90 million.

Barça have reportedly paid €14 million, Keita's release clause in his contract with Sevilla, to complete the deal.

Speaking at his arrival to Barcelona, Keita said "I’m very happy because Barça is a big club.

"My decision is very important because I had offers from lots of clubs, but I’ve liked Barça for a long time.

"Everything has gone smoothly as I wanted to play for Barça, and the hardest thing was for Seville and Barcelona to agree (a deal), once they did that everything was in the bag."

Keita has featured in 31 of Sevilla's 38 league games last season and scored 4 goals, including belter against Real Madrid at the start of the season (which you can watch by clicking play on the video player to your right).
