Barcelona have re-signed Gerard Piqué from English and European champions Manchester United.

Piqué, who left Barça's youth teams in 2004 to join United, is Barça's second signing after they bought Malian Seydou Keita from Sevilla yesterday. The Catalan defender has signed for 4 years and has a release clause of €40 million.

"It is a dream come true. It is a dream to return to Barça. When I left I thought it would be very difficult to come back but now the dream has come true," said Piqué at his arrival at Barça's offices where he put pen to paper on his contract.

Since leaving Barça, he has gone on to lift the English league cup, English Premier League and a European Cup with Manchester United and whilst on loan to Real Zaragoza in 2006/07, helped the club qualify to the UEFA Cup.
